PREMIER EBRAHIM RASOOL OFFICIALLY OPENS THE AIRPORT SHOPPING CENTRE IN BELHAR, ON THURSDAY 6^th DECEMBER 2007 AT 5PM

The opening of The Airport Shopping Centre is not only in time for Christmas, but it also coincides with the 16 days of activism against violence against women and children.

On Thursday 29^th November 2007 at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the Airport Shopping Centre, 20 wheelchairs, 30 torches, 300 blankets and 4 two-way radios were handed over by the developers, Novabuild, to Ward Councilor Willie Desmond Jaftha.  The two-way radios and torches will be utilized by the Belhar Extension Neighbourhood Watch and will aid in community protection and safety.  The wheelchairs and blankets were handed over to the St. Vincent Clinic and Old Age Home.

Over the past few months Novabuild (Pty) Ltd took up the challenge to bring a stylish, contemporary shopping centre to Belhar. The Airport Shopping Centre has been a successful empowerment development with tremendous job creation opportunities in the field of shop assistants, security and cleaning. The developers believe the centre will ably serve the needs of the community and provide a vibrant and exciting shopping experience for the entire neighbourhood. The Airport Shopping Centre will trade from 9am until 9pm and the centre will be managed by Colliers International.

On Thursday, 6^th December 2007 at 5pm, Premier Ebrahim Rasool Officially Opens the Airport Shopping Centre and we invite The Media to join The Premier on his inaugural tour of this centre.
